Andrew Silke started great idea of a site, called guerrillacg.org
It's incredible! You get for free video tutorials which I have to admit are best short teaching 3D videos I have ever seen. They are 3-5 minutes long, explaining some of the basic concepts in 3D. Of course they are only helpfull to people which know nothing about 3D but the way they are created and presented are incredible!!!
I have tried to explain some of the concepts shown there to people and everytime I hit a wall. I tried different approaches and never have been quite satisfied with the way I explain them. There are times I can't explain even simple concepts like these to people around me. What I like most about these videos is just that- the way they present you the information. And the best thing is they are software independent. People tend to think that when you teach them some information and show them examples in Maya, that this information is only useful in Maya. And these videos show that these concepts are relevant to every 3D program !
Finally I had the time to process the pictures of our incredible trip to Cairo and Hurghada and to upload them in my favourite Picasa!
The trip was full of emotions! Cairo is very dirty town but very magical place at the same time. It is so different from what we have in Europe. We stayed there for two days, went to few of the most notable places , and after that got our way to Hurghada - which is at the Red Sea. I personally went to that trip just to have the chance to go underwater :) I knew it was incredible but it blow me away. It was more than I expected! I didn't stopped swiming and diving all five days!
We also had some challenges with the food there... Krasi had to go to hospital for one night, but it was experience we won't forget. I was bitten by some jellyfish and an urchin, from which I recovered slowly. I had been bitten by jellyfish a lot but that one was much much stronger :)
And the best is I made so much underwater pictures!!! I just love underwater photography!
