The Brownstones to Red Dirt auction ended last week and I am so happy to say the fundraiser gathered more than $20000 from what I heard !!! That's amazing! All who contributed to the project rock! The people who made the cards and the people who bought them! And thanks to whoever bought my card too! You made me and my wife especially happy about that. I heard it is going to Singapore.
I already spent my first weeks at this amazing place. All the environment is so great and the colleagues at my department are all ninjas! I want to share a blog and online auction some of the colleagues started to help some kids in Sierra Leone. David LaMattina and Chad Walker, have created a feature-length documentary about a pen pal program between a group of at-risk sixth graders living in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn and orphans from the war living in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This Postcard Art project is an extension of the their film "Brownstones To Red Dirt" which features children from both schools.
If you are willing to buy a postcard from the auction - you can do so between March 6th and March 13th.
January 14th will be big day for me. Me and my wife will begin a new journey. We will be moving to NY and I will start working as Character TD at Blue Sky Studios ! Working for feature animation facility has always been a dream for me ever since I saw Toy Story. Let's see where this path will lead.
