My standard text editor for programming is GNU Emacs. Sometimes there are a lot of repetitive tasks while editing text. Very useful thing is to use macros in such situation. For example you want to put semicolon on every line of your code. Instead of going on new line, going on end of line and typing ";" you can define a macro and execute it as many times as you want. Example:

"I am not seeing the weights when I am painting. Why?" This is one of the most common questions I find on the rigging forums. I will write some of the things to check when this type of problem appears.

Many people are struggling with that particular problem. Me including. There is really really easy solution to this though. I haven't found anyone else using the same technique as I am so I call it "my invention". The solution:
